You against You – The Real Competition

One mistake that we all tend to make is comparing ourselves with others. We compare our successes and failures with others which makes us forget that our real competition isn’t other people, instead we are our own competition.

• Everyone has their own no path; no one is going to have the same story, so it is useless to compare ourselves with others.

The main problem with comparing ourselves with others is that we only know what they are showing us. We don’t know anything about their struggles and failures.

• We tend to be hard on ourselves for not being as “successful” as others, when in fact we don’t know how tough it must have been for them to be where they are today.

Instead of competing with others, we should compete with ourselves. We should try our best to become a better version of ourselves every single day.

• We are our own competition. 

It is not you against the world, it is you against you. 

• It is you against your past struggles and failures. You have to be a better version of what you used to be. You need to learn from your own mistakes and low points and make them your strength so that you can lead a healthy and successful life in the future. 

If you spend your days admiring other people and their work and thinking about yourself as a failure, then you won’t be able to get your work done.

So, stop comparing yourself to others, and start working hard on yourself.
