- Russ was born in Secaucus, New Jersey on September 26th, 1992, due to his father’s job he and his 3 siblings moved around a lot, spending their time in Kentucky and North Carolina before finally settling in Atlanta. His grandfather taught him how to play the guitar at a very young age and since then he picked up a few other instruments.
By the age of 7, he started writing raps and by the age of 14, he started to make beats for them. By the time he turned 18, he had recorded his first song. He worked part-time as a busboy at Outback steakhouse and stacked shoes at a warehouse called Off-Broadway. He briefly attended college and dropped out after some time.
