If you’re passionate about making money online, and you’d like to find out if Alex Becker’s courses can help you achieve this, then you want to read my review of the course to the end.
I bought my first course from Becker in like 2012 ish… was called light big dawg or something. He is a great dude and we even share a birthday lol. With the big crash google put on everyone in 2012 stumbling onto Beckers stuff back then really helped me out BIG TIME!
In my Alex Becker review, I’ll provide relevant, in-depth information about each of his courses to help you decide whether or not you should invest in them.
An Overview Of Alex Becker’s Courses
Alex Becker sells quite a number of products, some of which include Source Wave University, H-Com 2020, Market Hero, The Black File, and Hero Marketing Accelerator. You’ll find out more about each of them soon.
The crux of Alex Becker’s courses is to teach you how to make money online by setting up your e-commerce business via Shopify and/or by helping businesses to rank high on search engines like Google and Bing using SEO (search engine optimization).
He also has a course designed to teach you how to use email marketing to land clients for your business, as well as help your clients to generate customers.
It is quite easy to conclude that Alex is a jack of many trades. However, the important question is if his courses (and software) can truly help you make consistent income online.
Before digging deep into the content of each of the courses,
Who is Alex Becker?
Alex Becker is a popular online entrepreneur preeminently known for his YouTube videos, Shopify training program, Market Hero software, and his best-selling book titled The Ten Pillars of Wealth.
Alex was born on May 24th, 1988 in Dallas, TX. He was trained at the Air Force and graduated at age 23. At some point, he realized his interest lies solely in marketing. So, he learned SEO and later launched his SEO company. He claims he was able to build his business up to $ plus million a year within a few years.
He later ventured into the Shopify dropshipping business. Now, he sells online courses on how to be successful with e-commerce.
Alex is lately focusing on growing his SaaS (Software as a Service) business where he sells his Market Hero software. He’s also created a broad-gauge program that teaches SEO, Shopify dropshipping businesses, among others.
Alex Becker’s Courses and Software Review:
Here, we’re going to explore in full the nitty-gritty of Alex’s main offerings and see if they can really help you scale your online business.
Source Wave University Review
- This course is designed to teach you how to set up your freelance SEO business, and make money helping businesses to rank high on search engines like Google, and Bing. The course was created by Alex back in 2015 in collaboration with Stephen Floyd and Gregory Ortiz. These guys are believed to have demonstrable expertise and experience in SEO.
- The course costs anywhere from $47-$67 per month with a 10 day free trial. Alex claims to have helped his former students to land clients paying $3000-6000 per month.
Well, I can’t discredit the plausibility of his claim. I believe it’s possible to earn high income monthly by helping businesses to generate organic traffic. However, many things can go wrong with SEO, especially if you’ve not really mastered what works and what doesn’t work.
- It’s deceptive to claim an absolute knowledge of SEO as Google, for example, operates on an algorithm that almost no one fully understands. SEO professionals only base their strategy on the so-called ranking factors.
There’s no guarantee that your strategy will always work, as there are hundreds of people competing for the same keywords you’re trying to rank for. Google isn’t under any obligation to rank your site. As a result, there’s no assurance that you’d always get results for your clients. Clients can easily dump you for other experts if you’re unable to meet their target.

Besides, running an SEO business isn’t cheap. While you don’t pay the search engine to rank your clients’ sites, you may have to spend on software and outsource works such as content writing and backlinks.
The bottom line is, you can only make sustainable income by doing SEO for clients when you have mastered a proven strategy to generate results for them.
Market Hero Review
- Market Hero, now called Hyros, is a lead and conversion-tracking software designed to help you scale your Shopify dropshipping business. The tool can also be used for email marketing.
The software is particularly useful for people who need a one-stop product for their marketing funnels, email sequences, lead tracking and analytics. It can help you track every lead conversion, sales and even upsell from your email list.
It has a feature that helps you automatically calculate the value of each lead so that you can maximize your profit.
The monthly subscription for the Hyros costs between $19-$950 depending on the size of your email list and the number of features you’d like to access.
There’s also a Market Hero training program which is broken into the following:
- 8X Academic 2.0: Teaches how to build a $5,000 per month business in 30-60 days.
- The VMA Program: Teaches how to get thousands of viral visitors from YouTube.
- Black File Sales Training: Teaches how to get anyone to buy anything. It also teaches “elite level” Facebook ads.
- Full Market Hero Access: Teaches how you can automate your entire business for passive income.
- Full Inter Opt in Access: This teaches how to get traffic and leads instantly through an automated system.
- H-Com Lit: Teaches how to increase sales selling print on demand and dropshipped items.
The training costs $49/month with an option to sign up for a 14 day free trial. You can cancel your trial at any time. Also, you can downgrade to a $9/month option if you want to keep your account open and continue to learn from the training.

The training and the software look lovely but you may have to think twice before signing up for them. A lot of people complain about the program’s strict refund policy.
And again, your success in dropshipping business isn’t tied to the software. So, in the end, you may find it hard to rationalize its cost. Nevertheless, I leave you to decide what’s good for you.
Hero Sales Academy Review
- This course aims to teach you how to sell online. Alex attempts to break down the online sales process to his students. For example, the course contains an “advanced” sales/copywriting video and landing page and funnel design.
- The course contains training on how to create products that sell. Students are also taught how to prepare sales presentation and conversion webinars.
Finally, Alex gives some titbits on how to develop the mindset of 7-8 figure entrepreneurs.
The course comes with a 30 day trial for $1 after which you’ll pay $47/month.
H-Com Review
- Just like he did with his Source Wave University course, Alex partnered with some notable e-commerce gurus like Devin Zander and Matt Schmitt. It’s a 10-week program designed to teach you how to launch your own dropshipping business using Shopify. This appears to be Alex’s main area of strength.
- Dropshipping is a retail fulfilment business model where you’re not required to keep products that you sell. Instead, you purchase the items from a third party and then ship the goods directly to your customers. In this case, you don’t have to handle any product directly.
- To start a dropshipping business, you need to have an e-commerce business where customers place orders for products. You then automatically or manually forward the order to a dropship supplier. Once the order is ready, the supplier packages the item and delivers directly to the customers on your behalf.

To succeed in dropshipping, you have to choose a profitable niche. Also, you’re going to spend money on ads to promote your business. It’s quite competitive. Therefore, you need to have a unique strategy to help you stand out from your competition.
Before you go into dropshipping, you should try and acquaint yourself with likely challenges you may face. The business can be complex and it involves a steep learning curve. Also, you should be ready to spend hundreds of dollars on paid advertising such as Facebook and YouTube ads.
As at the time of writing this review, the course costs $1997 if you’re paying once, or $597 if you’re paying five times (costing $2985 in total).
This price doesn’t appear to be fixed. It solely depends on the kind of deal Alex is offering at a particular time.

This is Alex’s best-selling book which was published in 2016. This book was created to help his readers master the right attitudes required to succeed in business.

Alex Becker Review: Legit Or Just Another Scammer?
Well, I believe many people have different answers to this question. But to answer your question, I don’t think he’s anything close to a scammer. He seems to have paid his dues and attained some lofty accomplishments. He’s a 7-figure earner and there are people who claimed to have made money with some of his courses. I have met Alex he is a good dude and I even know guys in his $XX,XXX mastermind that can vouch for him!
Also, he has an impressive following on social media such as YouTube and Instagram. This could be an indication that he’s probably doing something cool.
There appears to be a thick shadow of doubt on if Alex is actually experienced across board considering the fact that he’s into different businesses. Most times, people like him are just jacks of all trades and masters of none.
Can you make consistent income with Alex’s courses?
Truly, Alex teaches high-income skills such as SEO and dropshipping but I doubt if signing up for his courses will actually help you make consistent income online.
For one, SEO isn’t a walk in the park. You must be confident about your skill level to consistently help your clients rank top of search engines like Google. Failure to achieve results will leave your client with no other option than to disengage with you.
It appears a little difficult to make sustainable profits with SEO since Alex doesn’t really go deep into teaching how to rank sites successfully.
On the other hand, dropshipping is a highly competitive business that’s becoming densely saturated every day. To scale through stiff competition, you must be ready to spend heavily on promotion.
Do I recommend His Courses?
To be frank, I won’t recommend his course because you’re looking for an easy to implement and sustainable way to make money online and build your business.
First, I feel Alex’s courses are not worth the prices on them. The courses do not seem to offer anything better than some free content you can get online.
Secondly, there’s an allegation that Alex promotes software or programs developed by other developers without first testing how effective they are.
As a result, his students end up buying products that failed to deliver on their promises.
Is there any better and easier option out there?
Yes, there’s a better business model that can help you make consistent income online.
The business I’m talking about is lead generation via Facebook ads. I’ve benefited hugely from this business. I was able to build my 6-figure online business from the ground up without much stress.
For years now, I have made 4-5 figures monthly by simply helping local businesses to generate leads using one of the best paid advertising options: Facebook ads. While most complain about how hard it is to scale with Facebook ads, I was able to learn how to run successful Facebook ads via a program called the Local Marketing Vault.
